It’s easy to think there is not any wildlife around in winter but you’d be wrong, there is lots to go and find.

• Look out for winter nuts and berries, a vital food supply.
• Birds are easier to see and identify when there are no leaves on the trees.
• Overwintering ducks are common on local rivers, ponds and lakes.
